When spec’ing its new apparatus, the Lakeside Fire Protection District chose an 18′ aluminum SVI body mounted on a Spartan FC49 MFD chassis with a 10″ raised roof, which houses an Cummins L9 engine and Allison 3000 EVS transmission. This walk-around Heavy Rescue comes with an Onan Protec 25K-watt PTO generator, Hannay electric reels with power rewind, Weldon VMUX Vista IV Multiplex System, OnScene Solutions transverse cargo slides, toolboards and LED compartment lighting and much more.
