When spec’ing its new Heavy Rescue unit, the Whitehorse, YT (Canada) Fire Department chose a 20′ aluminum SVI-body mounted on a 20″ raised-roof Spartan Metro Star chassis, which houses a powerful 450HP Cummins L9 engine. This apparatus comes with a Command Light series light tower, FRC Inview Guardian video/audio 4-channel system, Kussmaul Pump 12-volt air compressor, Warn 15,000-lb., 12-volt electric winch, OnScene Solutions aluminum heavy-duty cargo slides and much more.
