When spec’ing its new Apparatus, Topeka Fire Department chose a 24′ aluminum SVI body mounted on a Metro Star ELFD chassis, which houses a Cummins L9 engine. This Walk-Thru Hazmat unit comes with a cab interior command center, 65” SMART Board 6055 interactive flat-panel monitor, 10′ wide slideout room extension, Knight Series Command Light light tower, dual Carefree Mirage awnings, OnScene Solutions transverse and out-and-down cargo slides and much more.
