NEFDA Texas’ Bedford Fire Department Air/Light Unit #1086
NEFDA (Northeast Fire Department Association) was developed by a group of cities in Texas’ Northeast Tarrant County for the purpose of combining manpower and education for specialty operations. When speccing a new air/light unit for the Bedford Fire Department, the NEFDA chose an 12′ aluminum SVI-body mounted on a Ford F-550 XL Super Cab 4×4 chassis, which houses a 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel engine. This mobile air resource brings SCBA refilling capabilities, utilizing a Bauer two-position filling station, and features a power awning, Hannay High Pressure Air Hose Reel and Command Light Knight 2 KL Series Light Tower, plus much more.
